Wrestling with
an Idea |

|
In the sculptor's words...I wrestle with ideas all the time. Here I see myself trying to mold and
bend and twist the idea into something I can control. In the sculpture the Idea emanates
from the man himself and, while his right arm tries to get a grip on the idea, it squishes
out around him. The idea is infinitely malleable, yet, as often happens, it still offers
tremendous resistance to being shaped. Some ideas are just difficult to pin down.
