Violinist I |

|
In the sculptor's words...Here it is the
gesture that is all important. She in on her toes, the right leg raised and the head
thrown back. It is a feeling of happy abandon. Not to make too light of it, but this is
almost tiptoeing through the tulips. It makes me happy to experience this sculpture. I
enjoy the shapes and rhythms that are set up here. I love the shadows that are cast by
this violinist. She dances as you move a light source around her and project the shadows
against a wall. Ill often hear Vivaldis Four Seasons when I look
at this sculpture.
