In the sculptor's words... This was done for my friend David
who wanted to see my take on the themes of Time and Death.
Nor wanting to be morose, Ive interpreted life as a circus act; an amazing feat to be performed in a limited amount
of time. My man in the hour glass is a
juggler, keeping plates spinning as his time runs out beneath him. The baby above and the skeleton below define his
parameters. Death is not depicted as scary or
dominant, but merely as a patiently waiting fact. And
for the moment, my performing juggler is experiencing the time of his life.
