In the sculptor's words...Sometimes a person
will strike me in an unusual way and I'll turn them into sculpture. "Rose" was
inspired by a young woman I met at a show, tall, elegant, aware of her beauty. Her
demeanor was dignified almost regal and at the same time carried a hint of frailty. Making
her a denizen of Fairie, I created her as a well camouflaged and delicate flower.
