Parrot Tree |

|
In the sculptor's words...The "Parrot Tree" was done in response to a
client asking if I had any parrot sculptures. I've captured the feeling of a tree loaded
with exotic birds. This was done by taking the top four birds and having each one looking
off in a different direction; north, south, east and west orientations with none of them
relating to each other. They are situated so closely that the forms merge together. Then I
put in one social element at the bottom. The toucan almost holds a conversation with the
bird directly above it. This implies a social relationship between all of the birds. You
can view the sculpture from any angle and feel that you are viewing it from the front. At
least one of the birds is always facing you.
