In the sculptor's words..."Gryphon"
is a very formal study in sculptural movement. There is little attention to anatomy in the
placement of the wings or muscle structure. The features are more like cut-out pieces of
wood rather than having a feathery look to them. Foremost in the design is a balance of
texture and pattern and sculptural movement.
