First Dance

Do you remember standing on the feet of mother or father as they danced around the room? Well, not danced exactly, but that was the idea. I have memories of this from both perspectives; the child’s and the parent’s. I can remember the thrill I experienced every time that foot lifted me off the floor and I can remember the laughter of my son every time I did it to him. In this sculpture the love is shared between a daddy and his little girl. A simple statement of joy and affection.
