words... Fafnir,
Smaug, Vermathrax - all names of fearsome power and awesome terror. Scourge of virgins and
avowed enemy of valiant heroes. St. George, Sigfried, Bilbo Baggins and many armchair
warriors who have entered the magic realm through the printed page have faced the winged
menace of the firebreathing worms of the dark kingdom. "Abduction" depicts the
capture of a feisty but hopelessly outmatched princess by a firebreathing dragon.
This sculpture hangs by a wire
