In 1983 I placed a personal ad in the local newspaper.  I was looking for a wife.  Listed among my shopping list of criteria was the phrase “able to enjoy a fairy tale read aloud.”  Reading is a vital to me transporting myself into an epic tale has more than once helped me through tough times as well as elevated me during the good ones.  These sculptures are my homage to books and the people who enjoy them.
